When you open an account at Community Plus Federal Credit Union, you are taking one stop on the path to financial freedom. All of our account holders are also part-owners of the credit union. As an owner, you’ll gain access to our products and services and our earning will come to you in the form of better rates and fewer fees.

Who is Eligible to Join

We want you to join! Anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Champaign, Ford or Piatt County can open account.

One of the biggest misconceptions of credit unions is that they are very exclusive. As a community credit union, we offer membership to a number of Illinois communities. See the answers to more of our frequently asked questions about credit unions.

How to Open Your Account

Opening your account is easy. Complete your application by stopping by our branch. You will need to bring a government-issued ID and a $15 initial deposit. There are no application fees for opening a membership.

Once your application is complete, we’ll have your new membership opened immediately. Our staff will also walk you through all of your options for making the most of your new account.
