When you open a share Savings Account at Community Plus, you become a member and a part-owner of the credit union. When you want a place to set aside money but still have it be easily accessible, a savings account is a great option. And you don’t have to stop at just one. Add additional savings accounts or clubs designated for special purposes like down payments, holidays, or rainy days. Talk to us about your financial goals and setting up a direct deposit or automatic transfer so you can be set up for saving success.
Flexible Savings Options
Additional Savings Accounts: Many members find it easier to save when they have a specific place dedicated to their unique goals. You can open additional accounts so every time you deposit money, you know exactly what it’s meant to help you achieve. Make your deposits automatic to quickly watch the balance grow.
Savings Clubs: Two common things that members save for are vacations and holidays. We created the Christmas Club and the Vacation Club so you’ll have money saved for your next trip or your end-of-year festivities.
ATM Cards
We encourage members who want to access their money with a card to open a checking account. However, we also understand that not all members are interested in having a checking.
If you want a card for occasional transactions, talk to us about getting an ATM card for your savings account. Our ATM cards let you make 10 free withdrawals a month - including purchases. A $1.50 fee is incurred for each withdrawal over 10 during the month.
Your Savings are Insured
When you are a member at the credit union, you can rest easy knowing that your funds are safe. Deposits at Community Plus are insured by the National Credit Union Administration’s Share Insurance Fund. The Share Insurance Fund has the backing of the full faith and credit of the United States government.
All members of Community Plus Federal Credit Union are covered up to $250,000 for a single ownership account. Individual Retirement Accounts are separately protected up to $250,000.
